Team Tuesday – Avery

In the summer of 2014 Avery went to a ski show on Pomona Lake. When our team member, Gayle came by on his sit ski, I’m told the whole boat was cheering and tears of joy flowed. It was then that Avery decided we wanted to be a Warrior. We are so glad he and his family decided to join our team.

Within a week Avery had learned to ski on the boom. The next week he learned to do a dock start on 2 skis. Then he learned how to kneeboard, and this summer he dropped a ski and can slalom.

Withing a couple months, he became a show skier. He does the opening act, and carries the American flag. He also climbs pyramids. Avery is the middle on one of our favorite acts, called the Train. In this act, 3 kids are tethered. One behind the other, and each skier pulls the skier behind them.

Avery just turned 10 and is a 4th grader at Avondale West. He loves all gaming, Pokeman, basketball, fishing and he hopes to learn to wakeboard this summer.
