Team Tuesday – Derek

Team Tuesday features the current president of the Rough Water Warriors, Derek. He’s been skiing with the team since 94. He’s been skiing on Pomona for ever. In fact he met his wife skiing on Pomona Lake.

He pretty much does it all. Pyramids, tandem pyramids, barefoot, rope doubles, trios, and my personal favorite act Ladder/Barefoot. In this act he climbs a 4 foot step ladder on top of a 4ft round disk. When he reaches the top, he jumps and barefoots away.

Derek works for UPS in Lenexa, and just recently purchased a 5th wheel camper. He and his family spend every weekend at the lake.
He is a USA Waterski Safety Coordinator, and occasionally, we let him get in the boat and drive.
