July 4th Ski Show – Pine Ridge – Pomona Lake

Join the Rough Water Warriors for a show on their home site, Pine Ridge. Show is at 6:00 p.m. See Barefooters, pyramids, sit ski,trios, etc. Bring your lawn chair and your favorite beverage.
This show is tentative due to our very high water level at Pomona.
HIGH WATER!!! This rain has created quite a problem for the ski club. Our normal water level is 974 on Pomona. Yesterday morning it was 992. That means 18 feet of extra water. Congratulations to the Corps, they did their jobs and saved a lot of flooding down stream. (Ottawa was one that was close to flooding.) We have gotten in some really good practice, but we have no beach for our home shows. Until the lake comes down to 978 or lower we will not be able to have a home show. Here is a picture from last weekend when the water was a lot lower that what we have now. If you look closely that is our Pomona Lake Ski Club sign in front of the show dock. It’s 7 feet tall and 20 yards from the water’s edge on a normal day.
We will let you know if we can ski our July 4th show a few days prior, but it’s not looking good right now. Who ever is praying for rain, please quit.
