Pomona Lake Ski Club

We are a show ski team from the eastern part of Kansas, about 1 hour south-west of Kansas City or 30 minutes south of Topeka. The club formed in 1990 and recently is hitting a new growth spurt! We are currently building up our club to be competitive at the National level and are looking for people who are interested in skiing and might like to try our club.

Being part of a ski club gives you opportunities to try many new styles of skiing. Have you ever climbed a pyramid? Would you like to try bare-footing ? Would you like to learn how to swivel ski? A club like ours can help teach you at our weekly ski practices.

In 2013 the club raised a large amount of money and was able to purchase 2 Sit Ski’s. A sit ski enables a person with a handicap to waterski in a safe and smile producing way. Each summer the club tries to hold 2-3 adaptive waterski clinics that are free to people with a disability and their families.

While waterskiing is a seasonal sport the club meets nearly year round, meeting, planning, participating in parades, etc. For a fun affordable sport check us out.
