Team Tuesday – Gayle

Team Tuesday features our favorite team member and skier, Gayle. I first met Gayle in the summer of 2014 while taking his senior photographs. I suggested to he and his mom, (Kim) that he come and ski at our very first sit ski clinic. I think Kim thought I was nuts at first, but after I sent her some information she and Gayle came. Gayle was one of the first skiers off the dock. When Channel 49 asked him what he thought of his first experience water skiing, he said
” I think I will most likely want to do that again”. He hasn’t stopped skiing since.

He has skied in every show we have done since Labor day of 2014. He’s skied in all our clinics and is usually one of the first one’s on the dock each weekend. Gayle has improved so much in the past couple years. He’s become an excellent sit skier. With his new ski he has been much more mobile across the wakes and gives the ski skier a work out.

Gayle camps with the team almost every weekend during the summer. He arrives early and stays late, and is always willing to help. Gayle works part time for a nursing home in Overbrook. He’s an inspiration to all of us, we love having him around.
